Tasting notes

Les Hauts de Smith red 2019 has a deep purple-red color, the nose is very aromatic with vibrant fruity notes of redcurrant, plum, and blackberry supported by aromas of spice, cardamom, and Timut pepper in a chocolate box structure. The palate is full-bodied and structured, giving the impression of coating the palate with plum coated in a beautiful freshness and layers of exotic spices.

Environmental practices

Becoming certified organic in 2019, having applied many biodynamic practices for many years. Growing herbs on-site including yarrow, horsetail and tansy to use for decoctions. A strong philosophy to combine traditional with innovative technics in the vineyard.
