HISTORY

In 1788, Pierre Merman, a bourgeois from Bordeaux, bought the land that makes up today’s estate. The Cuvelier family’s first home in the Médoc since 1903. The Cuvelier family have been wine merchants in Lille since 1804, and gained a foothold in the Bordeaux vineyards when they acquired Château Le Crock in 1903. They subsequently bought Châteaux Léoville Poyferré (2nd Grand Cru Classé, 1855) and Moulin Riche in Saint-Julien in 1920.
