Tasting notes

Dark color with purple highlights expressing a beautiful brilliance. The nose is still very discreet but reveals great depth. Then appear aromas of black fruits, red fruits, and cedar characteristic of Lafite wines. On the palate, the attack is impressive thanks to a remarkable blend that expresses all its harmony and power in a long and fresh finish. In this atypical year, Lafite has shown its full potential by maintaining its balance and elegance.

Heritage in the vineyard

Domaine

Dating to the 13th century, but gaining notoriety during the 17th century thanks to the De Ségur family. Starting during the 18th century, the Marquis Nicolas Alexandre de Ségur focused on consolidating early successes and improving winemaking techniques. Earning the château the title of « the King’s wine » before being classified first growth in 1855. In 1868, the estate was acquired by Baron James de Rothschild.
