Tasting notes

Remarkable, very intense garnet red color. The nose of this Mission Haut Brion is impressive in its maturity, fruitiness, density, and complexity. It is a perfect blend of maturity! The attack on the palate is generous, smooth, and broad. The wine builds in power without interruption, ample. The class and sophisticated character of the tannins are evident.

The name « La Mission » was added during the time the Lazarists priests operated the estate. Confiscated by the state during the French Revolution before being purchased in 1821 by Martial-Victor Vaillant. The estate was purchased by Domaine Clarence Dillon in 1983, managed alongside Château Haut-Brion.
