Tasting notes

Beautiful dark red color with black highlights. It reveals notes of spice, smoke, blackcurrant, tobacco leaf and cedar. The attack is soft and silky. Then, gradually and with the same smoothness, the wine invades the palate for a long time to reveal its fresh character, typical of the late Duhart-Milon terroir. The wine is very dense, with tight, delicate tannins and a long aftertaste.

Heritage in the vineyard

Domaine

Château Duhart-Milon, located adjacent to Château Lafite Rothschild, was acquired by Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) in 1962. Legend has it that « Sieur Duhart, » a corsair under Louis XV, settled in Pauillac after retiring, the wine label may have been inspired by his heritage. Initially serving as supplementary income for the « Lord of Lafite, » Duhart-Milon gained recognition for its quality terroir and was elevated to Grand Cru Classé in the 1855 classification.
