Tasting notes

A beautiful depth of crimson that is lush and vibrant with a marked berry profile of precisely ripened red fruits with a floral backdrop. The tannins are smooth with good concentration making for a harmonious experience.

Vineyard size: 39 hectares
Soil composition: Quaternary alluvium from the Isle river with clay and gravel.

Winemaking

Fermentation container: Before vinification, vats were bled by 1.5%.
Maceration technique: Vatting time between 15 to 26 days including 6% pressed wine, fining using 2 eggs whites per barrel before filtration.
Aging: Oak Barrels

Heritage in the vineyard

Domaine

An extensive history tracing back to the 15th century classified at Premier Grand Cru Classé A. Purchased jointly in 1998 by Albert Frère and Bernard Arnault, the buildings and cellars have been renovated while maintaining the exterior landscape. The estate is also listed as a UNESCO heritage site.
