Tasting notes

Here’s an energetic Pessac, with a nose that’s not overdone, barely toasted, releasing a lovely floral and fruity bouquet (white fruit, citrus). A fine acid edge structures this slender, “very Sauvignon” white, softened by the barrel but without unnecessary fat, and whose zesty finish leaves a lemony trail of delicate bitterness.

Environmental practices

Château Carbonnieux has been awarded the HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale) label. A quarter of the vineyard follows an ORGANIC programme, the rest is farmed in a very rational manner (chemical insecticides, weed killers and acaricides are banned and replaced by ecological methods that respect biodiversity and stimulate the vine’s natural defences – BIOCONTRÔLE method).
