Tasting notes

The intense, limpid ruby color is a confident sign. The bouquet is fresh, elegant, fruity and skilfully wooded. In tune with this, the palate harmoniously blends stavewood and fruit, carried by firm, crisp tannins that are firmly embedded in the flesh. A well-constructed whole, ready for ageing.

Environmental practices

Château Carbonnieux has been awarded the HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale) label. A quarter of the vineyard follows an ORGANIC programme, the rest is farmed in a very rational manner (chemical insecticides, weed killers and acaricides are banned and replaced by ecological methods that respect biodiversity and stimulate the vine’s natural defences – BIOCONTRÔLE method).
