Tasting notes

A deep ruby color, with ripe fruits, hint of jam, a melody of blackcurrant with a gentle hint of mint. Good length that remains fresh with good depth of flavor.

Vineyard size: 24 hectares
Soil composition: Clay-limestone plateau with South/South-West exposure

Winemaking

Fermentation container: Oak vats with temperature control
Maceration technique: 2 week vatting time with pumping over twice a day
Aging: Oak Barrels

Domaine

Château Canon, facing the Saint-Emillion bell tower. The surrounding vineyard, on the outstanding terroir atop a limestone plateau. Belonging to the Chanel group since 1996 and currently undergoing their organic conversion, to be finalized in 2024.
