Tasting notes

A particularly intense bright purple color, a distinctive nose with black fruits, flowers that gains in complexity revealing hints of graphite. The Cabernet Franc lends structure with integrated oak flavoring. Characterized by a freshness, acidity, and elegant tannins.

Vineyard

Vineyard size: 32 hectares
Soil composition: South-facing Saint-Emilion slope.

Winemaking

Fermentation container: Oak and stainless steel vats for Merlot, concrete vats for the Cabernet Franc.
Maceration technique: 8° cold soak, 4 to 7 days with vatting time up to 3 weeks.
Aging: Run-off into the barrels.
22 months ageing.

Bottles produced: 10 000 cases.

Heritage in the vineyard

Domaine

The name refers to the Church bells that can be heard on the vineyard as its location is so close to the three Saint-Emilion churches. Currently operated by Stéphanie de Boüard-Rivoal, representing the 8th generation of the Büard de Laforest family.

Environmental practices

Completed for the 2019 harvest, the winery added on a 4,400m2 winery building, partially underground with a green roof. The facilities added laser optical sorting, vinification cellars, with ageing cellars. The vinification cellar, has a vat elevator to be able to fill using only gravity. Equally equipped with solar panels as part of it’s functions.
