Tasting notes

Beautiful aromatic radiance. The palate takes shape, very round at first, then showing its ripe tannins, complete structure and very fruity finish.

Vineyard

Vineyard size: 112 hectares
Soil composition: Calcareous, sandy and gravel-based soils.

Winemaking

Fermentation container: Oak, cement and stainless steel vats.
Maceration technique: Light pumping over to delicately extract tannins and colors, vatting time: 20 days.
Aging: Transferred to French barrels made by the « Tonnellerie des Domaines », a cooperage in Pauillac.
100% old barrels used the year before for the « grand wine ». Aged for an average of 16 months.

Domaine

Figuring among the Rothschild estates, with vines that grow in an area between the woods and marshes in a protected area, also referred to as the « Plateau des Carrudes », exclusively vines from vines that are 10 years of age. With traditional Bordeaux winemaking methods.
