Tasting notes

This vintage offers a tasty, well-balanced, sweet and fruity palate. It reveals an abundant aromatic expression of cranberry, redcurrant, cranberry and fresh plum. This great wine expresses the strength and charm of the Pomerol terroir. The color is deep garnet. The nose reveals complex flavors of dried red fruits, prunes and truffles. The palate is smooth, fruity and well-balanced.

Vineyard size: 11,5 hectares
Soil composition: A complex clay-gravel blend with sandy subsoil.

Winemaking

Fermentation container: Cone shaped vessels for gravity only transfers into tanks.
Maceration technique: Carefully monitored extraction phase.
Aging: Specialized oak barrels with screw-on bung holes to ensure airtight closure.

Heritage in the vineyard

Domaine

Château Clinet, located on a high plateau above Pomerol, with a history dating back as far as 1595. Purchased by Jean-Louis Laborde in 1991, the estate underwent significant renovations and modernizations. Ronan Laborde took over management in 1998, focusing on high-quality, terroir-driven wines.
