Tasting notes

Expressive aromas of forest fruits, dominated by black berry and blackcurrant. With a little air, the full complexity of the aromas bursts forth with notes of toasted spices, violet and iris. The wine is smooth and velvety on the palate, and the finish is long with a good freshness, bringing a remarkable finesse to the blend.

Vineyard size: 90 hectares
Soil composition: Pyrenean clay gravel from the late Pliocene and early Quaternary periods.

Winemaking

Fermentation container: Wooden vats with temperature control.
Maceration technique: 30 days maceration

Heritage in the vineyard

Domaine

Named for Pope Clément V, who was previously known as Bertrand de Goth, innovating vineyard production, by beginning to plant the vines into rows which would marking a facilitation for vineyard operations and harvests for many years to come. Purchased by Bernard Magrez, continuing to improve winemaking practices for the benefit of this Graves great growth.
