Heritage in the vineyard

Domaine

The origins of the estate date back to the late 17th century, in 1689, Pierre Desmezures de Rauzan, a prominent wine merchant and steward of the prestigious Latour and Margaux estates, purchased vineyards adjacent to the Latour estate, establishing what became known as the Enclos Rauzan. Château Pichon Baron was originally part of this larger estate, owned by Pierre de Rauzan. In 1987, the French insurance company AXA acquired Château Pichon Baron. The estate is currently managed by Christian Seely.
