Tasting notes

Very fresh on the nose, with fine notes of cedar and mint. On the palate, the wine is fairly concentrated, with beautifully fresh tannins and a long finish. An enjoyable example of the exceptional 1990 vintage.

Vineyard

Vineyard size: 60 hectares
Soil composition: Clay-gravel hilltops with a limestone subsoil.

Winemaking

Maceration technique: Vatting time 15 to 18 days depending on the vintage and the amount of pumping over for the extraction phase.
Aging: Oak Barrels
14 to 16 months with 30% new barrels.

Domaine

Belonging to the Delon family, owners of Léoville Las Cases, Clos du Marquis, Nénin in addition to Chateau Potensac. Inherited from Georgette Liquard, paternal grandmother to current owner, Jean-Hubert Delon.
