A beautiful springtime with a wonderfully even flowering period, with the summer temperatures lasting well into the month of September for a particularly successful harvest. With a nose giving black cherry, cassis, sweet boysenberry pie with a touch of minerality. On the palate, structured tannins with good overall complexity. Energy and harmony.

Heritage in the vineyard

Domaine

Jean-François de Pontet, in the early 18th century, would bring together plots of land in the Pauillac area. His descendants add the vineyard to create the estate. Later classified as a 5ème Cru Classé. Later purchased by Herman Cruse in 1865. In 1975, Guy Tesseron would purchase the estate, currently managed by Alfred Tesseron along with Justine Tesseron.

Environmental practices

Converting initially 14 hectares to use biodynamic farming practices in 2004, followed shortly by the entire estate. In 2014, the estate became organic and biodynamic, going further, by taking care to introduce practices that respect the vine’s natural balance. Beginning in 2008, with the goal to limit soil compaction caused by heavy machinery, the estate added a team of 10 Percherons to work half the vineyard and used to spray infusions and plant preparations.
