Tasting notes

A vintage characterized by early flowering, with a month of August that was particularly hot and dry helping the harvest to ripen evenly. Dark chocolate, plums, with dark fruits and a slightly smoked aspect, an exceptionally smooth texture with a depth of flavoring.

Vineyard

Vineyard size: 32 hectares
Soil composition: Primarily Oligocene deposits over gravel alluvial based soil with quartz, granite and basalt pebbles.

Winemaking

Fermentation container: Hand-picked into crates, double sorting.
Maceration technique: Vatting time 20-25 days in Stainless steel tanks.
Aging: Oak Barrels
18 months with 20% new oak barrels.

Heritage in the vineyard

Domaine

First established in the 19th century, owned by the Delon family for many years. Undergoing significant renovations and modernization in the 1990s under the guidance of Jean-Hubert Delon. In 1997, the later would purchase the estate from his family, increasing the focus on quality and innovation for the estate.
