Tasting notes

A vibrant ruby color and an expressive aromatic profile featuring crushed raspberries, cherries, violets and a hint of vanilla. A structure that provides balance and concentration, with a touch of earthiness.

Soil composition: A complex clay-gravel blend with sandy subsoil.

Winemaking

Fermentation container: Cone shaped vessels for gravity only transfers into tanks.
Maceration technique: Carefully monitored extraction phase.
Aging: Specialized oak barrels with screw-on bung holes to ensure airtight closure.

Heritage in the vineyard

Domaine

Château Clinet, located on a high plateau above Pomerol, with a history dating back as far as 1595. Purchased by Jean-Louis Laborde in 1991, the estate underwent significant renovations and modernizations. Ronan Laborde took over management in 1998, focusing on high-quality, terroir-driven wines.
