Tasting notes

This wine opens with a pure, concentrated nose. Aromas of violets, black fruit, blackcurrant and blackberry emerge. There are also hints of spice. On the palate, this Grand Cru Classé is densely concentrated with great tannic richness. The body is structured and very finely grained. A lovely saline freshness expresses itself wonderfully. The remarkable concentration leads to very long persistence and great aromatic complexity, with subtle notes of star anise and gunflint on the finish.

Environmental practices

Chemical fertilisers have been replaced by high-quality manure and compost, and insecticides by pheromones to combat grape worms or kaolinite clay to lure green leafhoppers. This integrated approach to winegrowing has earned the estate ISO 14001 certification since 2016, and HVE3 (high environmental value level 3) certification since 2017.
