Tasting notes

With an intense black color and purple highlights, Château Pichon Baron 2022 offers an expressive, refined nose combining delicate floral aromas such as violet and rose with red and black fruit. Notes of graphite and oak then emerge. After a powerful attack, the palate is rich, velvety, and deep. The red and black fruits, spicy wood notes, and mineral character of the terroir are all present. The finish is intense, smooth, and long.

The estate buildings were added in 1851, inspired by Renaissance architecture with two emblematic stately turrets. Ranked deuxième cru classé in the 1855 classification. The estate was managed by the Bouteiller family before being purchased by AXA Millésimes in 1987.
